Hi,

I am receiving the following error after adding the spire.pdf and spir.barcode to my .net5.0 project:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: 'Could not load file or assembly 'PresentationCore, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. The system cannot find the file specified error is thrown in azure function project. that targets the .net5.0 framework.

Please help.

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.
I did an initial test but didn't reproduce the problem you mentioned. For your situation, I recommend you to use our Spire.Office, which is the combination of our .NET components including Spire.PDF and Spire.Barcode...
Please remove all the DLLs related to our products in the project, and then instal Spire.Office(the latest version is Spire.Office Platinum(Hotfix) Version:7.2.3) from Nuget Manager.
If the issue still exists after trying, please provide the following information for further investigation. You could attach them here or send them to us via email ([email protected]). Thanks in advance.
1) Your input file (if any).
2) Your complete test project.
3) Your test environment, such as OS info (E.g. Windows 7, 64-bit) and region setting (E.g. China, Chinese).

Sincerely,
Annika

Thank you for your prompt reply.
Please let me know, what product should I use for the following environment:

application type: Azure Function
<TargetFramework>net5.0</TargetFramework>
Please note this is not the .netCore app.
The application deploys on the Azure cloud.

Use Case:
1. Generate Barcode
2. Add the endpoint of barcode to an HTML file
3. Convert Html file with CSS and barcode and other images to PDF via azure function APIs.

Thank you.

Sure, let me try with Spire.office.

Can you list a sample code to generate the barcode using spire.office?

Thank you,
Deepti

Hello,

Thanks for your feedback.
Kindly note that Spire.Office includes the Spire.Pdf component and the Spire.Barcode component, etc., and it has better compatibility in the project. Therefore, the sample code to generate the barcode is consistent with the source sample demo and the component used is still Spire.Barcode.

Annika

Hi Annika,
I tried the solution with spire. office. Yes, it has the same components for barcode and HTML to pdf converter.
But the plugins folder is needed in spire.office as well. The plugins folder has an issue in deploying on azure. As I mentioned in several other posts, my project is an azure function project that calls the backend to get the file stream response of the pdf generated by the HTML to pdf converter of spire libraries.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thank you,
Dp
