We have purchased a developer license with the following key data:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<License Key="..." Version="1.3">
<Type>Runtime</Type>
...
<ExpiredDate>2024-05-05T12:00:00Z</ExpiredDate>
<Products>
<Product>
<Name>Spire.Office for .NET</Name>
<Version>8.2</Version>
<Subscription>
<Name>Developer Subscription</Name>
<NumberOfPermittedDeveloper>1</NumberOfPermittedDeveloper>
<NumberOfPermittedSite>1</NumberOfPermittedSite>
</Subscription>
</Product>
</Products>

We use your product on 2 web server.
Since today we get the following message on page 3 when creating pdf documents:

"Free version converting word documents to PDF files, you can only get the first 3 page of PDF file.
Upgrade to Commercial Edition of Spire.Doc <http://www.e-iceblue.com/Introduce/word-for-net-introduce.html>."

The license file is loaded during pageload:

using Spire.Xls;

protected void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{

Spire.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");

WE use ASP.NET with C#.

What can we do?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Regarding the prompt message you mentioned about Word to PDF conversion, please note that this is a limitation of the free version of Spire.Doc for document conversion. I kindly suggest checking the version number of Spire.Doc or Spire.Office that you are using. Currently, the latest commercial version of Spire.Doc is Spire.Doc Pack Version:11.12, and the latest commercial version of Spire.Office is Spire.Office Platinum (Hotfix) Version: 8.12.2.
Furthermore, starting from version 9.6.0 of Spire.PDF, version 11.5.12 of Spire.Doc, version 13.6.0 of Spire.Xls and version 8.6.0 of Spire.Presentation, we have made changes to the licensing method. Please update your application's applying licensing key method accordingly.
Code: Select all
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();
Spire.Doc.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Doc.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();
Spire.Xls.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Xls.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();
Spire.Presentation.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Presentation.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();

I have download the latest commercial version of Spire.Office (Spire.Office Platinum (Hotfix) Version: 8.12.2.)
After installing and importing the libraries, I tried to load the license file as you described:

Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileFullPath(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();

I received via pageLoad the following error message:
CS0117: 'Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider' does not contain a definition for 'SetLicenseFileFullPath'

I then loaded the license file differently:
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileName(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml");
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();

A document is generated with the following error message:

Evaluation Warning: The document was created with Spire.Doc for

To see if the license file is correct, I loaded the license directly:

string _lizenz="... < licensekey > ...";
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseKey(_lizenz);
Spire.Doc.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseKey(_lizenz);
Spire.Xls.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseKey(_lizenz);

The preparation of the document works without error message.

What can I do to ensure that the license is loaded correctly per license file?

Hi,
this command now works because the name of the license file was wrong:

//Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileName(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.lic.xml"); //wrong
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.SetLicenseFileName(@"D:\Webclient\bin\license.elic.xml"); //right
Spire.Pdf.License.LicenseProvider.LoadLicense();

Thank you for your support!
