Brian,

We had another issue cropping up now converting doc to tif

Unhandled Exception: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'spr?' from a
ssembly 'Spire.Pdf, Version=7.8.11.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=663f351905

at Spire.Doc.Document..ctor()
at Spire.Doc.Document..ctor(String fileName)
at TiffConversion.Program.ProcessWORDFile(String inputWRDfile, String tmpDire
ctory, String tifOutputDir)

Listed below is my method and the code breaks at the below highlighted line.

public static void ProcessWORDFile(string inputWRDfile, string tmpDirectory, string tifOutputDir)
{
Document document = new Spire.Doc.Document(inputWRDfile);
string inputWRDFileName = Path.GetFileName(inputWRDfile);
string docOrdocx = inputWRDFileName.Substring(inputWRDFileName.Length - 4);
string strTifFile;

if (docOrdocx.ToUpper() == "DOCX")
strTifFile = inputWRDFileName.Substring(0, inputWRDFileName.Length - 4) + "tif";
else
strTifFile = inputWRDFileName.Substring(0, inputWRDFileName.Length - 3) + "tif";

JoinTiffImages(SaveAsImage(document), tifOutputDir + strTifFile, EncoderValue.CompressionLZW);
}

Also this was working before I applied the hotfix for spire.pdf libraries on the same project

Hello,

Thanks for your response.
Are you trying to use multiple components of Spire in the same project? Since each of our products is independent and incompatible, if you want to use multiple components of Spire in a same project, you need to download the Spire.Office to avoid incompatibility issues. However, I’m sorry that our latest Spire.Office does not contain the fix of issue SPIREPDF-4553.
Or if I misunderstood, please share your project with us for further investigation. You could send it to us([email protected]) via email. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Brian

Brian,

We have the licensed Spire.Office version after reviewing and analyzing our requirements.
So will your team be able to add the hotfix for Spire.PDF to the Spire.Office library also and provide me a copy of it?
Do I have to open a new service request ticket for getting this changes in Spire.Office? I had mentioned in my very first post that I am using Spire Office Library.

Hello,

Thanks for your response.
I'm sorry that the new version of Spire.Office still needs to wait for the integration of other enhancements and fixes. If all goes well, we expect to provide you a new version next week.

Hi Brian,

We have been testing the application with the new libraries. We are encountering an issue with some *.doc (97-2003) files when trying to create new instance of Spire.Doc.Document.

This error files has been attached.

System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: 'Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index'

I am unable to attach the doc file as it has sensitive data. When I remove the sensitive data and save the doc file, the application can instantiate the document as expected. Not sure if this information is enough. I had seen a hotfix in one of your earlier forum messages.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Since the data and structure of each word file are different, the cause of this error may be different, so the previous hotfix may not apply to your file. We need to further analyze your input file to find the cause of the issue, and please provide your original file to us. Don’t worry, we promise to keep your document confidential and will not use it for any other purpose. You could send it to us ([email protected]) via email. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Sincerely,
Brian

Brian,

I am not allowed to send the problematic word file as it has personal information. When I remove the sensitive information, and save the doc file it gets processed as expected. We will continue to test the rest of scenarios and let me know when the full release is ready.
