I have tested the provided file using the qt-plugin 5.14.2 on Ubuntu-20.04 with the net5.0 environment, and I was able to successfully generate a PDF file with a progress bar. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Ensure that the plugins directory and the output directory have the necessary permissions. You can use the chmod command to change the permissions:
Code: Select all
chmod -R 777 /path/to/plugins
chmod -R 777 /path/to/output/directory

Replace /path/to/plugins and /path/to/output/directory with the actual paths to your plugins directory and output directory, respectively.

2. Use the cd command to navigate to the plugins directory of your new version of Qt.

3. Run the following command, replacing "output.pdf" with the path where you want to save the generated file in your code:
Code: Select all
echo "<p>test text</p>" | ./Html2Pdf "" "output.pdf" 800 600 0 0 0 0 1

If you receive a message like ‘xxx not found’, it indicates that some dependencies are missing. Please install the corresponding dependencies first.

Please share the output or any error messages you receive when running the above command, so we can further investigate the issue.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Doris

Hi,

Regarding this issue, since the printing results using the Chrome browser are also incomplete, we can only proceed with conversion using the Qt plugin method. When you previously tested using the command echo "<p>test text</p>" | xvfb-run ./Html2Pdf "" "output.pdf" 800 600 0 0 0 0 1, you encountered the following error messages:

qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: xcb.

After investigation, the development team believes that this issue may be caused by the lack of a GUI environment. Please execute the commands 'sudo apt-get install -y xvfb' and 'sudo apt-get install libxcb-cursor0', and then retry the command echo "<p>test text</p>" | xvfb-run ./Html2Pdf "" "output.pdf" 800 600 0 0 0 0 1 for testing. Please attach your output results so that we can resolve the issue for you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Doris

Hello,

When testing commands in a non-GUI environment, you need to prepend xvfb-run. Please follow the command below for testing and provide a screenshot of the output. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Code: Select all
echo "<p>test text</p>" | xvfb-run ./Html2Pdf "" "output.pdf" 800 600 0 0 0 0 1

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad to hear that you successfully generated the PDF.
Please publish your .NET conversion program as a DLL, then transfer it to the Linux server and use "xvfb-run dotnet xxxxx.dll" to execute it and see if it can generate the PDF.

Sincerely,
Doris

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
The version of the Qt plugin you are using is 5.9.8, which is unable to convert the "progress" effect. You should use the Qt version 5.14.2 that I previously sent you for testing.
I have attached my project for your reference, which includes my converted PDF file. You can download and unzip it from the link below, then upload the "linux-x64" directory to your Linux server for direct testing.

Please note:
1. It is best to upload the directory under /home, which does not require root permissions.
2. Before testing, please set permissions for the path using "sudo chmod -R 777 linux-x64".
3. Please do not use the root user for operations; instead, use a regular user.
4. Switch to the linux-x64 directory and directly use "xvfb-run dotnet HtmlProgressbarTest.dll".
5. Use the "ls" command to check if a file named "ToPDF.pdf" is generated in the directory. If it is, the conversion is successful.

If the conversion still fails, please enter the plugins directory and test echo command again to see if it can generate the file normally or if there are any error messages.
Code: Select all
echo "<p>test text</p>" | xvfb-run ./Html2Pdf "" "output.pdf" 800 600 0 0 0 0 1

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
In the Qt plugin version 5.14.2, this prompt is normal and not an error message. We apologize for not being able to remove it.
Please refer to my previous reply and test again. You can use the "ls" command to check if any files have been generated.
If not, please test again with the "echo" command. For specifics, please refer to the previous reply.
Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Doris
