I am building a C# web application using .NET Framework 4.0.30319 and Spire.XLS version 15.1.3.0.

This application opens the specified Excel file, edits it, and saves it as a separate file.
If the input file has workbook protection with a password, the saved file has workbook protection enabled, but the password is not set. (The password that was set in the input file is missing.)

For input file workbook protection, can the file be saved with the password retained?

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry.
I conducted a simulation test on your scenario and indeed found that the structure protection password was lost after saving. I have posted this issue to our dev team for investigation and fixing, the issue ID is SPIREXLS-5721. If it is resolved or there is any update, I will give you feedback in a timely manner.
Apologize for the inconveneince caused.
