I'm experiencing an issue with FindText, when searching in OCR'd documents not all of the finds are found. The code below recreates the issue. In my testing, it may be related to phrases that are hyphenated or that contain other "special" characters. The example below uses a date separated by a / for example.

In my testing I only seem to be able to recreate this with OCR'd documents if that helps in your investigations and resolution.

Example.png

Code: Select all
        public void OCRandSpecialCharacterText()
        {
            string strFileName = @".\Non-Hyphen Test.pdf";
            string strTargetName =  @".\Non-Hyphen Test Highlighted.pdf";
            string strRegexSearch = @"\b(5/4/2011)\b";
            Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument pdf = new PdfDocument(strFileName);

            foreach (PdfTextFind text in pdf.Pages[0].FindText(strRegexSearch, TextFindParameter.Regex).Finds)
            {
                text.ApplyHighLight(Color.Gold);
            }

            pdf.SaveToFile(strTargetName);

            pdf.Close();
        }

Thanks for your help, unfortunately, I'm still experiencing issues.

I have attached a document if you use FindText to find the dates it works, but the name is not found. I apologize for the level of redaction but this isn't a document I can share. The redaction has no bearing on the issue though as the original unredacted version behaves the same.

TIA

Darren.
