We have a word document with a table in it.

If the table has no borders then it converts with no issues.

As soon as you add a border then it hangs at the doc.SaveToFile command. It does not throw an error, it just freezes indefinately

This used to work about 2 or 3 versions ago but has not worked for about 2 months (we are on the latest version).

To replicate it
1. Create a word document in word
2. Add a table and put anything you want in the cells (we have text, images and even excel charts as images from spire.xls)
3. Use spire doc to load document
4. Save as PDF - there will be no issues
5. Put a border on any cell or on the table or even just one border of a cell (the style, thickness etc does not matter)
6. Use spire doc to load document
7. Save as PDF using Spire Doc and it will hang

Dear ppdevs,

Thanks for your inquiry. I have tested the scenario and have not found any issue while using lastest version(Spire.Doc Pack Version:5.8). Could you please provide us your test document to help us do an investigation?

Sincerely,
Nina

Hi

I have attached 3 files in the zip folder.

We have a basic word document with placeholders in it that we then replace with charts and text from data. We run some data in excel using Spire XLS and create charts and place them in the document. We also create some additional tables from the data.

I have also attached the output of a document using the data. All I changed was a border around the second chart (total tasks and jobs by month). I removed some data from these reports just to protect information but the majority is there.

The report with no borders in the template (but the two extra tables created in SpireDoc have borders and work) creates the PDF with no issue (we use the savetofile with params as using private fonts - but it did it without the params too)

But the report with the border in the template just hangs. It does not throw an error it just sits there until we get a timeout.

Please see if you get the same issues with these two reports

Also we are using Spire Office .NET and the latest version of Spire Doc is 5.7

Will there be an update soon in Nuget?

Sorry to take so long to reply, I was not in a position to update the app with the latest version until now.

Unfortunately we still have the same error with the table borders. The document I initially attached still does not work.

It also happens if we shade a cell in a table too.

It appears to be when we change the default height/width of a cell as a normal table with borders does not seem to have the issues.
