Hi Nina

I apologize for the oversight. It is showing evaluation warning on PDF file when we converted it to PDF.
We have converted it using the Spire.PDF dll available in the Spire.XLS package
How can we overcome this issue?

Thanks,
Syed

Hi Syed,

Sorry for the late response due to the weekend.
Please note that the conversion of Excel to PDF is a feature of Spire.XLS rather than Spire.PDF. I would like to confirm if you are still encountering the issue with warning watermark when using the code I provided earlier to apply license? If so, could you please provide the order number for your purchase of Spire.XLS or the registration email address you used at the time of purchase. You can send this information directly to my email ([email protected]).

Sincerely,
Nina

Dear Syed,

I tested your license key with the Spire.XLS V13.6.0, and found it worked well to remove the warning in the generated PDF. I sent my test code for your better reference via email.

Nina

Hi Nina,

We are facing an issue when Splitting PDF file into multiple PDF files and we used the below code,

Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument pdf = new Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument();
pdf.LoadFromFile(targetFilePath);
Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument pdf1 = new Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument();
PdfPageBase page;
for (int i = pgcnt; i < Page_Number; i++)
{
page = pdf1.Pages.Add(pdf.Pages[i].Size, new Spire.Pdf.Graphics.PdfMargins(0));
pdf.Pages[i].CreateTemplate().Draw(page, new System.Drawing.PointF(0, 0));
}
pdf1.SaveToFile(path);

It is showing evaluation warning message as "Evaluation warning : Document was created with Spire.PDF fro .NET" in the split pages.

However when we directly save the file without split then it is not showing any evaluation warning.

As I already stated earlier, we have the perpetual license for both Spire.PDF(5.4) and Spire.XLS(13.6).

The above issue is raised when we use the latest Spire PDF version(9.6) we have in the Spire.XLS(13.6) license

Kindly investigate this and help us to overcome this issue.

Thanks,
Syed

Thank you for your inquiry.
Please note that our earlier releases of Spire.XLS (e.g., version 13.6.0) required dependencies on Spire.PDF (e.g., version 9.6.0). However, the PDF license you purchased is only valid for versions released before February 26, 2020 (supporting up to Spire.PDF 6.2.6). As a result, when using the newer Spire.PDF 9.6.0, an evaluation message will appear. Due to the significant time gap between your Spire.PDF and Spire.XLS license purchases, the two are not directly compatible. We recommend renewing your current Spire.XLS license to use the latest version (which no longer depends on Spire.PDF), thereby ensuring compatibility with both the new Spire.XLS and the authorized Spire.PDF 6.2.6. Thanks for your understanding.

Talia

The version of Spire.PDF we currently have is 5.4. If we upgrade Spire.XLS, it will come with Spire version 6.2, which will enable us to use PDF and XLS formats. Can you please confirm this?"

Dear Syed,

You are correct! Starting from Spire.XLS 13.10.1, the dependency on Spire.PDF has been removed, enabling Spire.XLS to operate independently. This means newer versions of Spire.XLS (from 13.10.1 onward) can now be used alongside older versions of Spire.PDF in the same project without compatibility issues. For your scenario, upgrading the latest Spire.XLS version 15.7.8 could work with Spire.PDF 6.2.6(or 5.4.x).

If you'd like to upgrade your license, please contact our sales team at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Talia
