Hi, I'm currently using spire.pdf on my Azure web application for the conversion of pdf to excel. The program runs fine on my local computer, however, I run into this error every time the function is called on cloud: class com.spire.ms.System.Exception: No 'Arial' font found!

The server runs on linux, and it appears that there is no way to issue commands to it from the command line.

I looked into manually adding the Arial font to the pdf before exporting it but there didn't seem to be a way to do this.
Additionally, I used Pdf#getUsedFonts() to check what fonts were inside my document and only Helvetica is used.
This means that just installing Arial would not solve the issue, as I would most likely have to load all default system fonts manually before the excel can be successfully exported.

How should I resolve this issue?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Please note that the "getUsedFonts()" may not get the non-standard fonts in your PDF file, so I suggest you add all your local fonts to Linux and test it again. If the issue still exists after testing, please provide your input PDF file for us to investigate. You could attach it here or send it to us via email ([email protected]). Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Annika
