Text box multi line font settings

We are loading in a preexisting pdf and using spire to overmap some fields, but it is the regular text boxes that are giving us a problem. Any of the pdf properties seem to be ignored completely.

A large text box that should be about 6 - 7 lines normal font, multi-line, fills out the first 2 lines and the more you type the font keeps getting smaller and smaller and only uses the top 2 lines. Not sure if i can include snap shots of the screen.

Any ideas?
