Hello,

I'm Testing SPIRE PDF, to read data (text) from PDF File.

It's working, but in some cases, the copied data result is strange characters as 34567896:;<=;>?=@AB5<6C.

I'd like to understand if its a PDF problem or some charset that must be configured.

I'm attaching the PDF related.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry to reply late for weekend.
I tested your file and did notice that the texts are unreadable after extracting using our Spire.PDF. And after checking, I found the phenomenon was caused by your PDF file itself, the fonts in your PDF are "Type3" with custom encoding, these fonts themselves lack ToUnicode data which will be used when extract text. If you extract text from your PDF file through Adobe manually, you will also get unreadable text. Hope you could understand.

Best wishes,
