Thanks for the reply. I tried it again but still get strange charecters for the greek ones. See the attachment.

Using your sample PDF file, I can extract the text correctly and find the result is the same as the text of PDF. The attachment is my extracted .txt file, and please refer to the tutorial(Extract/Read Text from PDF in Java) to achieve it. Hi there, sorry for the delay.
My problem is not creating or exporting a pdf file through jsp, but when i create - export a pdf file with Greek language inside it cannot display the greeks corectly (shows srtange characters as you can see into my previous attachement file "o4.rar").

Is there a way to correct this issue?

After an initial test of creating PDF with Greek language and extracting the text, I didn't reproduce your issue and the Greek language text displays correctly. To help us further investigate your issue, please share us with the following more information. You could send these information to us via email([email protected]).
1. Your full testing code.
2. Your input file (if any).
3. Your desired effect of output.
4. Your system configuration. E.g. Win 7, 64 bit.
5. The region setting. E.g. Greece/Greek.
