Hello support team,
currently we are still using the free version of spire.pdf (8.6.0) so maybe this is the problem.
We try to use soft line breaks to improve formatting on the pdf output.
Normal line breaks are working fine (e.g. on spaces), but we would like to use separation suggestions for long words.
So they would automatically be wrapped in Portait mode but not in Landcape.
Currently the German word "Drehmoment" is split like this:
Drehmomen
t
which looks very unprofessional.
I tried to add soft breaks: Dreh-mo-ment using the Unicode character 00AD (SOFT HYPHEN), which is to be used for this purpose.
But it is shown as a normal -, if the text is not wrapped.
I tried \v as well, but this doesn't work either.
Is there a way, how to solve this problem?
Best regards,
Inge

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Based on the information provided, since you are currently using the free version of Spire.PDF, I recommend trying out our latest commercial version, Spire.PDF Pack (Hot Fix) Version: 10.2.2, for further testing. This version includes more fixes and new features compared to the free version. If the issue persists after testing with the commercial version, please kindly share your testing document (if available) and the complete testing code with us for further investigation. You could attach them here or send them to us via email ([email protected]). Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Annika
