Hello,

I have some trouble printing clear codebar on C#.

If I print my pdf via adobe acrobat, no problem, my barcodes are readable by my reader.

But with spire.pdf, the bars have small waves/dents on both sides, rendering it unreadable. The words and number are clean, only the bars have these anomalies

I'll join the pdf and a photo of the printed barcode.

I have updated my version of spire.pdf today with the latest available as you have recommanded to other posters with quality printing issue but no luck.

Code: Select all
Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument pdf = new Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument();
string printerName = printerName;
 pdf.LoadFromFile(file);
 pdf.PrintSettings.SelectSinglePageLayout(Spire.Pdf.Print.PdfSinglePageScalingMode.ActualSize, false);
 pdf.PrintSettings.Copies = nbrCopie;
pdf.Print();

Any idea ?

Thanks, in advance.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
I tested your scenario with the latest Spire.PDF Pack(Hot Fix) Version:7.2.5, but did not reproduce your issue. To help us investigate further, please tell us your printer name, your project target framework (e.g. .NET Framework 4.5), your OS information (e.g. Windows7, 64bit) and the region setting (e.g. China, Chinese). Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Hello there,

We're working in .NET Framework 4.7, in France/French, on Windows 10, 64 bits.

The printer name is "Brother MFC-L2710DW series Printer"

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

Thanks for providing more information.
Sorry we don’t have the same printer “Brother MFC-L2710DW series Printer” as yours, but I tested your case with several different printers in a similar environment, I still did not reproduce your issue. Attached is my printout using the printer “Microsoft XPS Document Writer”.
Please test the code below to print your file to “Microsoft XPS Document Writer” and see if the same issue exists. Looking forward to your testing result.
Code: Select all
            Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument pdf = new Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument();
            pdf.LoadFromFile("fichePal2_111578_1.pdf");
            pdf.PrintSettings.PrinterName = "Microsoft XPS Document Writer";
            pdf.PrintSettings.SelectSinglePageLayout(Spire.Pdf.Print.PdfSinglePageScalingMode.ActualSize, false);
            pdf.PrintSettings.Copies = 1;
            pdf.PrintSettings.PrintToFile("print-out.xps");
            pdf.Print();

Sincerely,
Brian

I'm having this same problem now. Was this ever resolved? My PDFs that contain a barcode are readable by our scanners when printed from Adobe Reader, but printed with Spire.PDF, the scanners can't read them.

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Have you tested the sample code provided by my colleague Brian? How about your printout when printing with the printer “Microsoft XPS Document Writer"? Please share your PDF file with us for further investigation. You can upload them here or provide to us by email ([email protected]).

Best Regards,
