Trying to (re) evaluate Spire.PDF (java) to convert local HTML (file/String) to PDF.

I downloaded the zip file for java, but the first time I ran the HtmlConverter.convert, I got a "Can't load library: ...\plugins\Qt6Core.dll".

So
1) Are dll libraries being used for Java, and are they fully linux compatible?
2) Where are these necessary plugins, because even the samples in the zip file won't run because they are missing.

Thx.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Please note that Spire.PDF's feature of converting HTML to PDF relies on a third-party Qt WebEngine plugin, which depends on DLL libraries. Additionally, this plugin varies by operating system. Regarding your issue, first, please ensure that you have downloaded the correct plugin version (download it from the location specified in the screenshot in the guide link). Furthermore, for servers without a GUI, you need to install the xvfb tool first, and then use the xvfb-run command to run your application. The details mentioned above are described in the guide link; please refer to it for further confirmation. If the issue persists, please reply to us with your Linux version to help us investigate further. Thank you in advance.

Did I miss that being documented somewhere? That's a major limitation for anyone running on linux.

Thank you for the thorough reply in any case.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.
For detailed guidance, please refer to: Java-convert-HTML-to-PDF. Due to the high dependency of the Qt plugin on the Linux environment, even if you follow the instructions step by step, issues may still arise. If your Linux system can install the Chrome browser, I will recommend a new method for converting HTML to PDF. This method relies on the Chrome browser and offers better conversion results. I look forward to your feedback.

Sincerely,
William
