Hello,

I am currently developping some Proof of Concepts to see if Spire .PDF is the tool we need.

So far, I would like to congratulates you for the very good quality of your product.

I have two questions I wish you could answer:

How does the PdfSignature.VerifySignature() method verify the signature. Does it validate the certificate also ? The documentation only say "check thie validity of the signature" which did not bring a lot of information about it :)

We also encountered some performance problems when we try to access the certificate instance from a PdfSignature

public List<PdfSignature> GetAllSignatures(string docPath)
{
using (var doc = new PdfDocument(docPath))
{
var signatures = new List<PdfSignature>();
var form = (PdfFormWidget)doc.Form;

foreach (var fieldWidget in form.FieldsWidget)
{
var field = fieldWidget as PdfSignatureFieldWidget;
var certificat = field.Signature.Certificate as X509Certificate2;

if (field != null && field.Signature != null)
{
signatures.Add(field.Signature);
}
}
return signatures;
}
}

Performance analytic tools show us it take 30 seconds to get access to this information.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Thank you !

Could you give us an estimation of when you think the update will be available ?

We are currently looking for different options and the performance issue is a main concern for us.
I appreciate your reactivity.

Thanks in advance

Regards

And what about our question related to the VerifySignature method ?

How does the PdfSignature.VerifySignature() method verify the signature. Does it validate the certificate also ? The documentation only say "check thie validity of the signature" which did not bring a lot of information about it :)

Do you have any information about it ?

Thanks in advance

Dear MarcRoulleau,

Here is the information about verifying the signature, please check.
To verify the signature, the digest is recomputed and compared with the one stored in the document. Differences in the digest values indicate that modifications have been made since the document was signed.
Also, sorry that we cannot give you an ETA when the issue is fixed, our Dev team is still working on it. We will inform you once there is any progress. Sorry for inconvnience caused.

Sincerely,
Betsy

Hello,

Why does the VerifySignature method on a double-signed document return false?
If the document is signed with only one signature, it works properly.

Hello,

I did an initial test with a document containing multiple valid signatures but didn't reproduce your issue. I could get true when using signature.VerifySignature() to verify every signature. To help us reproduce your problem, please provide your pdf file.
