I'm using Spire.Office for .NET, installed through nuget. When i ugrade Spire.Offcie from version 8.9 to version 9.9 with a new License, the watermark appears in any PDF file have more than 10 pages. But when i'm use the old license (the one with version 8.9), the watermark disappear. What happened? Is there any thing wrong with license file?

Note: I compared the old and new license, difference between them is the new one have a line Serial Number, while the old license didn't. Furthermore the licence line in the new one have Version="1.4", while the old one is 1.3

I look forward to receiving your response.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Please note that in the past we only used the license agreement to restrict the usage scenarios of the deployment location(Verison 1.3). Now we technically validate the deployment location with the unique Mac Address/Machine ID(Version 1.4). Once your usage scenario exceeds the number of bindings allowed by the license, the generated result file will be watermarked. To help us further confirm, please provide us with your purchase information. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
William

Thanks for reply, William

After double-checking, I realized that my new license has been used to deploy the product on another machine, so it won't work on my server.

However, I'm facing another issue and would appreciate your clarification. My old license expired on November 11, 2024, and the version of Spire.Office I'm using is 9.9.0, which was released on September 30, 2024. Will the expiration of my license cause any issues with my product that uses the Spire.Office package? Currently, the product is running without any problems, but do I need to renew the license to continue using Spire.Office in the future?

Thanks for any information.

Pham

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.
If you are using a version released within the license date range, you do not need to renew and the license is permanently valid. However, if you want to upgrade to the latest version of Spire.Office, you need to renew.

Sincerely,
William
