Just openning a PDF file in VB.NEt and saving it to an other name
Fields name like: text.0, text.1, text.2, text.3 became 0, 1, 2, 3

Here's the vb code

Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim doc As New PdfDocument()
Dim output As String = "DoctestNew.pdf"

doc.LoadFromFile("DocTest.pdf")

doc.SaveToFile(output)
End Sub

Just saving the first PDF (“Premier-Formulaire”). The resulting doc (“test”) loose first part of fields name when there’s a period in them.

SpirePDF 7.10.4

Windows 2012 r2

Net Framework 4.8

Here is the code:

Private Sub Button4_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button4.Click
Dim sb As New StringBuilder()

'Create a pdf document
Dim doc As New Spire.Pdf.PdfDocument()

'Load from file
doc.LoadFromFile("C:\Users\boucharo\Documents\DRCSolutions\Proclean\Premier-FormulaireProClean.pdf")

'Get form fields
Dim formWidget As PdfFormWidget = TryCast(doc.Form, PdfFormWidget)

doc.SaveToFile("C:\Users\boucharo\Documents\DRCSolutions\Proclean\test.pdf", FileFormat.PDF)
End Sub

Hello,

Thank you for your sharing.
I tested your PDF file and found that the field names of the result file were not modified. I also checked the test.pdf file that you provided. The field names are also correct. Here is a screenshot of my check result. I view PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2020.013.20074). Do you use this PDF editor? If not, then we recommend that you use it first.

Sincerely,
Annika
