Hi Spire Team,
We are using Spire.HTML to convert HTML documents to PDF. We have encountered an issue where the generated PDF is much larger than expected.
Scenario
Original html size: 3.8 MB
We convert the html to PDF.
Then we convert that HTML to PDF using Spire.HTML.
Resulting PDF size: 38 MB (approximately 10x larger).
We expected the generated PDF size to be similar to the original, but it has increased significantly.
Questions
Is this expected behavior when converting HTML to PDF?
Does Spire.HTML embed images or fonts without compression?
Is there any option to optimize or compress the output PDF during HTML-to-PDF conversion?
Are there any recommended settings or best practices to reduce the output PDF size while maintaining good quality?
If required, I can also share:
The sample HTML file.
The original HTML (3.8 MB).
The generated PDF (38 MB).
The HTML-to-PDF conversion code.
Files are not uploading because of large files, so open this link for files -

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
