Hi, please help with differences in saved files.
We have next code (Java, SpireDoc-11.3.0):
Code: Select all
    public void test(){
    Document document = new Document("test.docx");
    document.saveToFile("test_2007.docx", FileFormat.Docx);
    document.saveToFile("test_2013.docx", FileFormat.Docx_2013);
    document.saveToFile("test.pdf", FileFormat.PDF);
    }

When we save file as FileFormat.Docx and FileFormat.PDF files looks same as input file, in case of FileFormat.Docx_2013 we have missed headers and extra pages in result files.

Why we have these differences and how to make files looking same?

Attached archive with input file and results.

Thanks,
Andrei Chorin

Hi,

Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. After investigating the issue with our development team, we have determined that the discrepancies in page count and header formatting when saving documents in different Word versions are not caused by an issue in our product, but rather are due to differences in how Microsoft Word presents documents across different versions.
If there are any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry.
After investigating the matter, our developers have determined that the problem is not caused by the document data itself, and currently there is no other solution available.

Please note that our product only handles the document data and does not control how it is presented in different software applications. The rendering of documents is dependent on the individual software's specifications.

We suggest opening the document with Word 2016 and saving it again, as this produces a same result to what our product generates. We have attached the document converted by Word 2016 for your reference.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
Triste
