Hi,
We are currently evaluating spire.office to do some pdf processing, mainly inserting some text at the bottom of each pdf page that identifies the user and time of printing.

The code is using the PdfDocument.BeforePrintAction to insert javascript that fills in a pdf field upon printing.

This works as expected in Chrome and Adobe Reader, but does nothing in Edge or Firefox browsers.

I have attached a sample pdf output. A footer should appear in Chrome when printed / print previewed but you will see this is absent in Edge/Firefox. Are you able to determine why?

Hello Robin,

Thanks for your letter.
Our Spire.Pdf follows the rules of Adobe. After investigation, we found your issue is related to the compatibility of different browsers but not our product. To verify it, please directly create actions to a Pdf by Adobe Acrobat, you will also find that the action is not available in Edge and Firefox browsers. If there is any other question, welcome to write back.

Thanks and Regards,
Lisa
