On short documents this functions updates the document stats and returns correct page and word counts on a larger document it returns "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and after that occurs the page count is wrong ex, 48 pages now returns 31. Is this particular function affected by the limitations of the product? ( Pro vs Free)

Dear lorinkundert,

Thanks for your inquiry.
The Pro Spire.Doc doesn't have any limitation. But for Free Spire.Doc, it has a general limitation to 500 paragraphs and 25 tables when loading and creating a Word file and a limitation to 3 pages when converting to PDF or XPS files. In addition, all fixes and new features are only included into commercial version.
For your issue, I firstly suggest you use the latest Spire.Doc Pack Version:5.9. If the issue still exists, please provide input file and the code you were using for testing.

Sincerely,
Betsy

That would be a waste since my company will never buy a license just to count pages and words.
