We have a table (or more) with a header. The text in the header is styled with 'Header 1', to be referenced by the TOC. The header of the table is repeated for every page span by the table.
The resulting TOC has wrong page numbers - in our real application the page number references last occurance of the text, instead og the first 1.
Ex:
pg1
Table1-Header
row1
...
row n
pg2
Table1-Header
rown+1
...
row n+m
pg3
Table1-Header
rown+m+1
...
row n+m+...

The page number showed in TOC if 3, not 1.

After opening the document in MS Word, manually updating the TOC field, the page number(s) aligns correctly.

Attached, source code of simple test, a document containing a sort of template of the table (TableTemplate.dox) and the resulting document (MyDoc.docx).

Thanks.

Hi.
With new release page numbers seems to be ok but links now are broken.
Using 'ctrl+click' on TOC line does not navigate to related page no more; the error 'it is not possible to open the specified file' is showed instead.
Please, see attached pictures for details.

Thank you.

Update: the issue is not new (it is not related to new dll version).
Link of page numbers works correctly. Links of titles are broken.

Hi again.
We still encountering issues for page references in TOC - we tried to figure out which part of the document is causing the problem but without success.
The document is built using pre-existing MS Word documents used as templates. after composing the document this way we create and add a TOC; page numbers shows in the TOC do not align with real page numbers. If we update the TOC field using MS Word (right-click on TOC, select update field, only page numbers) the page numbers of the TOC are updated and incorrect ones are fixed.

We tested the way the TOC is built with some simple samples and the problem appears only in case 3:
case 1: create long simple document from scratch - simple stands for 'only paragraphs': OK
case 2: create long simple document from existing empty one that is used as template (styling, page footer): OK
case 3: update existing document (generated with Spire.Doc using some docx as templates) adding and updating TOC: KO!
It seems that some element contained in the generated document interfers somehow with page numbers. Is there any way to check this?

Attached the VS solution that implements case 1,2,3.

Thank you.

Hi Robbin,

Thanks for your inquiry.
After testing your project with the latest Spire.Doc V7.1.10, I noticed the TOC was updated incorrectly via Spire. Yet when I update the TOC in MS Word manually, the page number would be changed to correct one. I have logged the wrong page number issue in our bug tracking system. We will let you know once there is any update. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
