When I load an xlsx file it seems to lose the merged cell formatting. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks.

This issue you mentioned has been fixed, please get the lastest release of Spire.XLS from http://www.e-iceblue.com/downloads/spire.xls_5.5.2.zip.
