Good Day dear E-Iceblue team

We've been using FreeSpire.PDF successfully for a while now.
Recently, we've run across a strange issue though.

When Converting an XPS to a PDF with a certain content, it will convert it incorrectly.

1. Fill of an Area with Recangles
2. Dash-Dot-Dot line

Attached you can find a zip containing the following:

- A screenshot taken form our software (how it should look)
- A XPS, generated by our Software. Looks right, when compared to the screenshot
- A PDF that was converted using FreeSpire.PDF

We are using .NET Framework 4.8, with the FreeSpire.PDF Version v7.2.0 referenced via nuget.org.

Could you point us in the right direction?

All the best.

Dear S. Gerber,

Thanks for your inquiry.
I tested your XPS file and indeed found that the generated PDF has some differences on content. The attached screenshot shows the details for my discovery. Please confirm again whether this is consistent with the mistake you mentioned. Anyway, I have logged this issue into our bug tracking system with the ticket SPIREPDF-4272. Once there is any progress, I will inform you immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Sincerely,
Nina

Yes, exactly those two things are what we are having issues with.
Sorry for not marking it more in the screenshot.

Hi there Nina

I just ran a quick test with the paid Spire.PDF version and all of the reported issues are indeed fixed.

A few questions remain:

- Will this fix eventually make it into the FreeSpire.PDF set?
- I've noticed another issue in the XPS to PDF conversion. Shall I open a new Ticket or update this one?

Thanks a lot.

Dear S.Gerber,

Thanks for your confirmation.
1. Yes, we will include the fix in the Free Spire.PDF eventually, but kindly note we don't upgrade our Free version regularly, hence now we don't know when the free version that includes the fix of your issue will be updated. I suggest that you use our paid Spire.PDF. We are willing to provide you with a one-month temporary license. You can apply for a temporary license from this link: https://www.e-iceblue.com/TemLicense.html.
2. It’s okay to open a new task or update this post to ask a new question in either way.

Sincerely,
Nina

Hi Nina

Thanks for letting me know.
The temporary licenses is a neat idea, sadly not really applicable to our software, as our software is released to customers.
I will just revaluate using the paid version from nuget, but of course I will also discuss the usage of the paid version (internally).

In regards to the noticed issue, I'll extend this ticket then.

What I've noticed is that some fill patterns that do not match from XPS to PDF.
Attached you find a zip containing an XPS (with all the fill patterns that our software is able to export) and a PDF that was converted using the paid version (7.9.6).

Especially noticeable are the 3rd from the left (top row) and the 6th from the left in the centre row.

best regards,

Stefean
