Do I need to install other Excel applicaton to view XLS?

why must "System.Diagnostics.Process.Start" used to open for viewing the xls file? Then I still need to install Microsoft Excel in order to view all *.xls extension files right?

Does Spire provides any xls viewer component that I can add into the VB 2005 form? So that I can directly view the xls from the form created?
